Who’s going!? 👀 The 24th Annual Roxborough Spring Fest is back and bigger than ever - and ready to take over Ridge Avenue on Saturday, May 9th from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Vroom, vroom! Roxborough Spring Fest will team up with the Rockin’ the Ridge Car Show - all on the same day! Roxborough’s marquee celebration of Philly’s 250th Anniversary will feature a high-energy, family-friendly, all-day, all-ages celebration that blends classic cars, live music, student creativity, local business showcases, food vendors and community pride. GOOOOOOOOD MORNING ROXYUNK! We are crawling out of hibernation and already in the early stages of planning the FIFTH ANNUAL ROXYUNK PORCHFEST! We are five this year! Do you want to join us? Are you porchfest-curious? This is where to find us. We are specifically looking for people who are interested in: 🦖 tabling at events with us, or day-of volunteers for RYPF 🦖 flyering, or those who like to yap - a lot of our recruitment is done face to face! looking for an excuse to talk to your neighbors? 🦖 Google Drive wizard - if you know a lot about Google Forms, Mose wants to talk to you. 🦖 DOERS - people that do stuff for the greater good of the group/community, from talking to neighbors, running errands, or doing a bit of research. We are grabbing wings and mozzarella sticks in the tent at @hilltowntavern tonight - it’s been a while and there aren’t any sportsball games tonight, so we have nothing better to do. an accidental picture from my camera roll, from a day that was very much all on purpose @roxyunkporchfest is an honor of a lifetime that i get to do - from meeting neighbors, listening to musicians, and seeing how porches bloom with the creativity of local residents, and musicians who sometimes are strangers! let alone the weather being….. not awesome today, I am proud of everyone rolling with the plan, getting creative with it when it came to the rain. From living room shows to indoor rock bands at a coffee shop, or tents and tarps and rain delays. this year was huge and we felt the shift. the overwhelming support of the community today was incredible. it was a beautiful to park illegally in this neighborhood. RYPF2026 i will have my shit together even more, so…..sign my petition to put a dome over RoxYunk for the festival, link coming soon or just volunteer with me to make it happen every year, that would suffice

Our nonprofit unfortunately doesn’t have the budget to put a dome over the RoxYunk region, but the threat of a little bit of rain won’t stop us. (Well actually, Sunday just looks horrifying in terms of the forecast and we don’t have any other option.) RoxYunk Porchfest will take place tomorrow! Hosts and performers can make their own calls in terms of their porch and the weather, but we are officially ON for tomorrow!
