Six, a little earlier this year. Happy Anniversary @nimbleshanks . My life is infinitely richer and more colorful and flavorful and beautiful with you in it. May we share this road together for all our days to follow.
October ~ November ~ December
Quarter four was equal parts tough and tender, wonder and grief. I planted seeds, I danced, I laughed, I cried. I was held so tightly by my community, and through it all am excited for what comes next. It is a fruit ripening with untold possibilities.
Tomorrow is not promised. Though the way may be hard, the hope to journey on is the light in the dark.
See you in 2026, my friends. May your light shine brightly!
I’m so excited for our new Mayor Elect, Zohran Mamdani! Congrats on an historic victory that means so so much to so many.
For the first time post election in a long while, I’m feeling very inspired, proud, and hopeful.
Let’s keep building a city for everyone, with everyone. Community over competition. People over profit.

The last three months have been so heavy and also so beautiful - full of abundant fruit, adventure, joy, rest, and belly laughs. My life has been a kaleidoscope of possibility, kindness, and community. Despite the grief and weight of many things, I still find myself taken aback with delight, and seeking to imagine and create new and better futures.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
April ~ May ~ June 2025
The end of Q2 feels like waking up. This quarter taught me the importance of choosing myself, of being the one to seek what I want and need. I made the difficult decision to resign from my job to begin building my next chapter, and I’m paying very close attention to what this moment feels like. To walk away from something I built and am so very proud of in order to seek what sustains me. It is scary, and inspiring, and exciting. It is full of possibility and craving. It feels like reconnecting with old friends and going on silly adventures, it feels like the hope of a new future for my beloved New York City, it feels like the warmth of dear friends and family during a time when I needed their love and support more than ever. Over the past three months, I’ve tried many new things, made a ton of art, said yes to myself - to purple hair and long naps and adventure, and discovered a deep well of strength and pride.
I’m looking forward to what comes next.

Q1 was a whole party. Celebrating public art, celebrating 5 years of partnership, and celebrating new partnerships.
It was also a time of beginnings as I reflected on 36 years around the sun and welcomed the beginning of my 37th with laughter, love, and play. Much of this new journey would require un-doing, un-learning, and un-plugging from old patterns of thought - challenging my ideas of success, and future-thinking to clear the way for joy, creativity, and something new. I shed a lot of tears in Q1 - for what was, what wasn’t working, what wasn’t going to happen, and (though I didn’t yet know it) what was. I decided it was time to get comfortable with taking risks, and to begin to explore the other [good] side of “what-if”.
A little late, but who is keeping track anyway? In this incredible season of upheaval and change I am so grateful and so happy to have you by my side.
