Row House Publishing turns five years old on November 3. The significance of those ten words cannot be understated. I’m so proud of this community. Revolution lives between the covers of a book. 📕🖤✊🏽 xx Rebekah Borucki, founder & president 🧵 Pullover by @mahoganybooks

Thousands of you have joined our community since we first shared our origin story mini-doc last spring. So this is just a little intro for the new folks. Comment and let us know where you’re from!! We’re hanging tough in the Dirty Jerz (New Jersey, USA). We continue to marvel at how ALL of you—new friends and old—have shown up for our authors, their books, and this house. Books start revolutions, and y’all are the best people to go into battle with. We’re changing big publishing… together. Watch the Row House origin story featuring co-founders Rebekah Borucki (@BexLife ) and Kristen McGuiness (@KristenMcGuiness ). PS — Check out the links in our @RowHousePub bio to buy our books, join our official street team, and learn more about our mission. ➖➖➖ Video by @JackiesInLove Rebekah Borucki's hoodies, tees, and pullovers by @RowHousePub and @harrietts_bookshop

There are so many new folks here, so we thought it might be a good time to re-introduce ourselves and to let you know that we’re so glad you’re here. Welcome to our house. — Rebekah Borucki (@bexlife ), founder & president Typewriter logo by @HanaRuzsa

I was deeply disappointed to read the recent news about Cesar Chavez. As a woman, an activist, and a children’s book author, it’s painful to learn that someone I presented to young readers as a role model caused harm. Cesar Chavez appears in my children’s book Awesome Activists, which highlights people who shaped movements for justice and social good. In light of this news, any future printings of the book will remove his spread and replace it with a woman who made a significant impact in the labor movement. When we write for children, we carry a responsibility to tell history with care and integrity. I remain committed to uplifting activists whose lives reflect justice, dignity, and accountability. In gratitude and solidarity, Rebekah Borucki, founder & presdient Row House Publishing

You might have noticed that Row House social media has been a little quiet lately. I (Rebekah Borucki, president and founder) was hospitalized in December after a long illness caused by a combination of autoimmune deficiencies, the after effects of COVID, and extreme burnout. I am the primary social media manager (yes, we are THAT tiny), so we’ve been quiet on here. Thank you for the ongoing support of our authors, their books, and this house as I pursue healing in and we continue to work toward a sustainable and successful future for Row House. It takes a village to make projects like ours work. Thank you for being an important part of our community. Now go follow our authors, buy all their books, and keep being kind to each other. 🤟🏽 Rebekah (@bexlife )

Dream bigger! Imagine a future where health care is for EVERYONE—no exceptions. 💙✨ Mark your calendar: January 29th, 6:30 PM! Pull up to the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Pottstown (1565 S. Kiem, Pottstown, PA 19465) for a FREE event with light snacks and vibes. I’m diving deep into my book “PawnShop”—but that’s just the start. Let’s talk real change: why universal health care is essential for racial justice, marriage equality, and our everyday lives. I’ll show how Afrofuturism inspires revolution and how we can imagine a better world—together. Don’t miss the energy, the conversation, and the dream for a future we ALL deserve. 💙📚 . Yo, pull up January 29th at 6:30 PM, FREE event at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Pottstown, 1565 S. Kiem, Pottstown, PA 19465. We got light snacks, and I’m talking about my book “PawnShop.” But it ain’t just about the book, real talk—we’re getting into why universal health care gotta be the wave right now, how it’s crucial for racial justice and marriage equality, and why we need it in our everyday lives. This event different, forreal. Not only do you get the story behind “PawnShop,” but I’m also sharing how I see a world where universal health care ain’t just a dream, it’s normal. I’m gonna break down how Afrofuturism links to revolutionary change, how it shows up in our real lives, and how we can imagine better together. Come vibe, and let’s get into the future we all deserve. This event is coordinated by @upliftingvoicesproject . Yo, today was different not just because of the snow. Walked into the Joseph E. Coleman Library @jeclibrary and there go my book, “PawnShop,” right on display! Man, I can’t even lie, I teared up and hugged the librarian three times. Forreal, shout out to them for making sure my book got on them shelves, putting me on as a local poet, and looking out for the city’s own. This right here? It means Germantown history got my name in it now. Library always been a mission for me, but now I’m part of the story for real. I’m hella grateful for this love and the chance for folks in the neighborhood to pick up my book and read it. Like, that’s major. Got mad memories at this spot, especially all them times my aunt used to scoop me up, sometimes after school, sometimes cutting class, and we’d spend hours just finding ourselves in those pages together and in that library together. So, to see my name on a shelf where we once got lost in stories and in that library ... I ain’t got words except these tears of joy. Philly, we up. . Still smiling about waking up to this text from a friend 🥹📚 Bibliotherapy in the Bronx was just featured in The Seattle Times in an article titled “6 Books That Explore Why We Read.” I’m so grateful to be in conversation with other books that honor reading as a lifeline, a mirror, and a form of care. If this book has meant something to you or if you’ve been curious here’s how you can help it keep traveling: ✨ read it ✨ borrow it from your library ✨ share it with a friend, student, or colleague ✨ and if you can, leave a review Reviews truly make a difference in visibility and access, especially for books rooted in community care and healing. Thank you for reading alongside me, for passing stories hand to hand, and for helping this work reach the people who need it. 💗 • • • #LiterapyNYC #BibliotherapyintheBronx #TheSeattleTimes #bookfeatures #debutauthor
