This was my 3rd year at Burning Man. What i thought would be 'my best burn yet' quickly turned into a dangerous, intense, humbling experience.
Severe weather pushed us to the limits, destroying infrastructure and causing injuries. The looming threat of ongoing storms delayed every aspect of our build, halting our incoming camp members carrying critical components and stopping any forward progress while we assessed the damages and planned for more extreme winds and rain.
My plans quickly crumbled, and the many expectations had to be lost in the dust. A lesson in letting go of the lofty goals I set for myself.
But yet, we pushed - pushed through the suck, rebuilt the camp, helped each other weather the storm, and did not give up.
Why? Why do we do this? Why do we spend heaps of money to get beat up, bruised, and broken in a barren, vast expanse of harsh relentless desert? I asked myself these questions, many times over.
Its because of these people ⬆️
Miki Beach is )'(ome. These people are home. Burning Man is where we all have the chance to come together, create, and cherish this amazing group. The love, joy, and support that we give to each other is the fuel to the fire, the beat of the party, and the MAGIC that makes Miki such an incredible community.

Visited the miniature museum in Leer yesterday - I was unexpectedly surprised. I've seen some tiny trains before, but NOTHING like this. They displayed all of the small towns and little ports in Northwestern Germany with incredible detail and accuracy.
The Berlin exhibit had been displayed in Berlin for over 20 years before being moved to Leer. We were shown the miniature display of the miniature display inside of the miniature building where it was housed in Berlin!
Smashing through the theatrical lighting hang on board the new Disney Destiny. I still can't show any pictures of the ship, but here is some content from the beautiful town of Papenburg, and some from the ship yard, Meyer Werft.
Check out slides 9&10. This is how we get gear onto the ship for building in various places. Nothing happens easily here, patience is key!
Its been a long time coming! Finally got rid of the big white whale and into a truck that is much more my style.

Huge shout out to @_whereskaleb and @indyautoman for the painless experience!
I'm looking forward to cruising around the country in my new whip! What modifications should I make first? Definitely contemplating a Decked system or a shell.... or both!
Love and happiness flowed through the air yesterday in celebration of Tom and Cody! An incredible venue, spectacular weather, and fantastic friends and family came together for a wonderful ceremony and dinner. Cheers to a lifetime of laughter, love, and prosperity!
