Last night, we celebrated 15 incredible finalists representing Tempe Elementary Schools at the 37th annual Tempe Diablos Excellence in Education Awards! It was an inspiring night of honoring the passion, dedication, and impact of our well-deserving educators and staff.
Congratulations to our very own ⭐ Carolyn Zimmerman ⭐ for coming home with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award!

Last week’s art walk at Rover was a wonderful celebration of creativity and community! Our campus was filled with incredible student displays showcasing hard work, imagination, and talent from every class. Families enjoyed strolling through the exhibits while watching musical performances from our students. It was a joyful evening, full of connection, pride, and plenty of smiling faces - thank you to everyone who joined us and helped to make it such a special event!
Kindergarten has been busy exploring the Southwest and learning about the many animals that call our desert home! Today, students teamed up with their buddies to create their very own “cactus hotel” - a creative way to showcase the desert animals they’ve been studying. From tiny critters to large desert dwellers, their projects brought learning to life in a fun and hands-on way! We love seeing our students, collaborate, create, and connect their learning to the world around them.
We wrapped up our student of the month celebrations today with a special outdoor recognition! What a fun way to honor our final students of the month - celebrating their hard work, positive attitude, and contributions to our school community. We’re so proud of all they’ve accomplished! Thank you to our families and staff for continuing to support and encourage our students every day.

Today in library with Mrs. Hardesty our fourth and fifth graders had the chance to “taste” something new…..BOOKS! At our quarterly Book Tasting, students explored a variety of new titles that have arrived in the Library. From flipping through pages to discovering new genres, this engaging experience encourages students to step outside their usual picks and find stories they might not have chosen on their own. You never know - your favorite book might be one you didn’t expect! We love seeing our readers excited, curious and eager to dive into something new. Happy reading Rover!
Kindergarten is getting ready for Rover’s Annual Art Walk! This year’s theme, Stories From Around the World, has our youngest learners diving into their Southwest unit. Inspired by the book, Coyote: A Trickster Tale from the American Southwest, students are bringing the story to life by modeling their very own clay creations. We can’t wait to show their creativity and storytelling through art!
