Introducing Roushell Porter, studying in Communication.
“As an interdisciplinary artist I take an experimental approach using photography, print and text to explore themes such as identity, memory and grief. Playing with cyanotype, lithography and etching allows space to manipulate, create and mix across mediums, forming new ways of storytelling within visual communication.
Self-portraiture speaks across my practice allowing dialogue into the social context of what it means to be seen not just as a human being but as a believer of Christ. I anticipates my work to cause disruption on the norms of what identity should look like, sound like, and behave like.” - @roushellporter
I really feel like Abraham right now when God told him to leave everything behind. You ever look back in your life and realise the moments that has prepared you for the NOW season/journey in your life. It’s so crazy because I don’t feel lonely, I just feel disheartened that I won’t be experiencing this part of the journey with the ones who I want to. That’s something I have to grieve.
Genesis 12:1 - The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.
