Thanks to everyone who checked out the new single and video over the weekend! As you probably noticed we also started pre-orders for our new album ”Interface”. The vinyl comes in regular sleeve with @joelslotte ’s incredible artwork and includes a lyric-insert. The CD version is a standard jewel case with a 12-page booklet. All new tracks, including the singles ”BS” and ”Image” which are already out on digital platforms.
The Modem Age Records version will be out on October 10th, just in time for the record release shows in Finland. @dongiovannirecords will release the album in the Americas and Australia in November and you can pre-order a copy from DG directly. @tampuirecords will be releasing a cassette tape version in Southeast Asia. The missing slice… 🍕 Modem palkittiin eilen Indie Awardseissa VUODEN ALTERNATIVE pystillä. Tilanne yllätti siinä määrin, että pokaalipuheessa ajatus jäätyi. Ville onneks tsemppas! En nytkään aio sanoa mitään järkevää, lupaan…
VUODEN ALTERNATIVE, mitä se tarkoittaa? Viime vuonna oltiin ehdolla POP kategoriassa ja vaikka se musiikkia kuvaakin, niin vaihtoehtoisuus lienee jossain määrin se tekemisemme ydin. Tunnustus merkitsee paljon ja ehdokkuudet jo itsessään. Myönnän silti, että saavuin tilaisuuteen turvallisesti ”häviämään” myrkyllisen kyynisellä ja katkeralla altavastaaja-asenteella: Täälläkin ne suurimmat luvut ja näkyvyys määrää. Numerot ovat kaikki ja ne eivät ole meidän puolellamme, joku promoottori sanoi kerran suoraankin.
Mutta ehkä on jotain muutakin! Gaalaillan jälkeisen tunteellisuuden vallassa en haaveile sen enempää, mutta kiitos ja onnea kaikki hienot voittajat ja ehdokkaat. Tulin paikalle lähinnä tavatakseni teidät ja päästäkseni jatkoille länkyttämään ihailemieni itsenäisten artistien kanssa. Kiva olla osa tätä aikaa!
