Went to check my mail and found this Big Brown Bat hiding off in a quiet corner of my apartment building. These native bats play a big part in pest control and can live over 20 years! Glad I found this little fella just in time for Halloween 🎃 #bat #nature #batsofinstagram

Snuck in just a little bit of nature photography at the end of last year. Felt like I hadn’t gone out of my way to shoot any and for a long time I felt intimidated to try and post something that felt like it lived up to older pics I had taken. I also edited these with more intense colorations that I normally reserve for music photography. For 2025 I want to try and do some more nature stuff for me and I’ve even got a short list of animals I’d like to try and find around NC🤞

Got super lucky walking to shoot @abbdavv and saw this Red Tailed #Hawk chasing a squirrel around a tree. Can’t wait to get more #nature photos when the weather warms up.

Been a while since I posted #nature. Feels like I spent most of the year trying to get out and shoot music and I haven’t taken the time to go look for nature as much. Luckily this Eastern Black Swallowtail #butterfly decided to land like this for the perfect picture. Hopefully I get more before the years over 😅
So very grateful for warmer weather bringing back so much #nature to #NC. This #heron was fishing for tadpoles and frogs so effortlessly, I could have watched it all past sunset. Cant wait to see what else I can find:)
Always cool finding coastal #birds when taking time at Oak Island. This boat-tailed Grackle was cawing at myself and the other dock patrons as we walked by. Cant wait for more #nature this summer.
With so much of this year far from normal, it was nice to end it the same way I do every year. Spending time with my family, walking on the #beach watching #birds on the #shoreline frantically avoid us. Luckily this Sand Piper was bold enough to check me out while I got this photo.
