The athlete has evolved. But sports hydration hasn’t.
For too long, sports drinks have felt outdated, not optimised for the demands of today’s athlete. Very little has truly changed..
That’s exactly why we built Cadence: modern sports hydration, built for today, and built to redefine the future of the category.
Modern sports hydration for the modern athlete.
35 today. Here’s what the last year actually taught me: 1. Being a dad is the most humbling thing I’ve ever done. You learn who you are in real time. No manual, no shortcuts. 2. Love your partner genuinely. Happy wife, happy life isn’t a cliché it’s a cheat code. 3. Spend time with people you actually want to spend time with. Zero patience for rooms I don’t want to be in. 4. Age is just a number. I am fitter and a better athlete at 35 than 25. 5. Building a brand is a long game. 6. Find your flow state and protect it. This last year building Cadence has been the most fun I’ve ever had working. When work doesn’t feel like work.. that’s the win. 7. Spare time is sacred. If I have a free hour it’s not going to random people. It’s going to family. 8. I’ve been around greatness this year. The right room changes everything. Who you’re building with matters as much as what you’re building. 9. Health is the foundation. Business, fatherhood, creativity, all of it runs better when the body and mind does. 10. Real happiness came from real impact. Building something, moving people, creating moments that lasted, that’s what filled the tank this year.
Walmart was a new challenge for the creative. The world’s biggest retailer. A different customer than the one we built with the run clubs, the specialty stores, the endurance community.
But sweat is agnostic.
A dad playing pickup with his son. A mom on the treadmill at 6am. A cross country runner with a race this weekend. Every one of them an athlete in that moment. Cadence was built for the goal-oriented. Not just the professional.
This campaign was about proving that, without losing our footing in performance.
Proud of everyone who brought it to life. Too many to tag. You know who you are.
Zero running miles for the first 3 months of the year and a few niggles means Boston isn’t happening for me next week 😔 Tried everything to get there but back in training now and loving it. Thanks @adidasrunning for the invite, see you next year.
