Help bring dialysis services to Wairarapa!
Iāve teamed up with @rossltaylor3 to start a petition to bring this much-needed service to our region.
Patients are currently required to travel over the hill, often multiple times a week. This has a debilitating impact on their health wellbeing.
One person told me they canāt take it anymore and stopped receiving treatment. We must do better.
This isnāt political, itās personal.
Rossā late mum and my late uncle both had to make the trip over the hill and we saw first hand how hard that was on them.
This isnāt directed towards the current Government, the petition is directed at Health NZ.
This month is Kidney Awareness Month, so it is the ideal time to call on Health NZ to make the right decision.
And we would welcome everyone, regardless of political leanings, to get behind this.

Itās official ā Iām proud to announce that Iāll be pulling on the blue and representing Samoa in cricket.
This is more than just a return to the game I love ā itās the huge honour to represent my heritage, culture, villages, and family.

I was there in the very first season back in 2008, when the journey began. Just a year later, in 2009, we were one game away from lifting the trophy that final still feels like yesterday.
To see @royalchallengers.bengaluru finally win it after all these years fills me with immense pride. So many great players have worn that jersey. I know all of us are celebrating this moment with the fans today.
