People That Inspire Us | Part 1
This is Amys Uncle David and he is one of the most loving gentle people we know. This is him in his workshop where he makes things with wood. He gave Herbie and Forest a guided tour of his workshop recently and they loved it. They both have a ‘box of treasures’ that David made for them and they sit pride of place in their bedroom. Treasures include birthday badges, furbies, Harry Potter figurines, precious rocks and priceless sticks.
This is a working title for a project I started at the tail end of last year. We’re so lucky to be surrounded by so many talented people that we love and that love us. It’s so important for us to make sure that our children have other people to look up to and to be inspired by, just as we were when we were children ourselves. So throughout the year I’m going to photograph these people and create a book that I can give to the boys. A physical reminder of all the wonderful humans we have in our lives.
Tomorrow it’s my 38th Birthday 🎂 🎈
For my Nana Beryl it’s a bittersweet time of year, she says that it was the last time that she was ever truly happy. On my birthday 19 years ago my Grandad John fell ill, within two weeks he was dead.
Beryl, like most grandparents, keeps photo albums of all of her Grandchildren. Every year she likes to take a picture of us on our birthday. This morning I popped up to have my picture taken, we also looked through my album at some of my previous birthdays.
Enjoy ☺️
In December I was invited by @lukebwilliamson to shoot some portraits at the Royal Albert Hall. The portraits were part of an experience that creative agency @thisisgain were holding for their awesome clients.
@lukebwilliamson has been a big part of my work over the past two years and so I knew that his creative direction was going to be strong.
I really am grateful for his trust and collaborative approach.
Thanks also to @thisisgain and their awesome team for a great experience.
💪
Enter Steffy and Joyce who make up half of the Bliss-Harts. A family that we’ve really enjoyed spending time with this year. 🧡
Needed to shoot some portraits of mother and baby for a pitch that I’ve been working on an tbh, they’re too nice not to share.
As a dad of two boys, I think a lot about what we eat and how easy it is to lose touch with where our food really comes from. Convenience makes life simpler, but it can also make food feel distant. This campaign felt like a chance to remind myself, and others, what it means to reconnect with food grown as nature intended, pretty simple really.
A pretty awesome campaign this one so you’ll have to pear with me as i’ve got a few people I need to thank.
I was commissioned by our good friend Georgie at Breitmeyer Productions to work on the ‘Unprocess Your Food’ campaign that Andy George and the team over at Hearts & Minds had been working on.
It was a total joy. Special thanks to @bentheoandrews and Simon for being so easy to Photograph and to everyone that helped make this such a fun day!
