Sometimes things just fall into your lap. That was the case of us in Costa Rica and us getting the chance to finally run Borroso. When we went down in early March this canyon wasn’t even on our list to run because we didn’t have the equipment or skills to run it by ourselves. But fate intervened. We were staying at an AirBNB and a guy was walking down the drive with a canyoneering shirt on,
@peterjansadventure stopped him and they started chatting. Turns out they were running Borroso the next ay with 2 other people from Colorado and invited us to join. We knew we had to take the chance to run this canyon as it would most likely be our only opportunity as Costa Rica just was passing a new law making it basically illegal (not in effect while we were there).
It was every bit of incredible that we could have possibly imagined. Awesomely heinous approach where everything wanted to trip us and send us stumbling, blue waters, incredible window, big drops, rainbows, what felt like hurricane like winds and water at the bottom, arches, and new friends.
This just goes to prove when life hands you an opportunity it’s up to you to seize it with both hands. This will be a day I never forget. Thank you so much Andre
