I am so impressed and proud of our New Mexico State University student team and alumni who made LCIFF 2026 so remarkable. When you empower, motivate and inspire young people anything is possible. They executed a world class five day film festival with thousands of people in attendance and some of the biggest names in Hollywood. I am filled with absolute joy as an NMSU professor, filmmaker and Las Crucean.

Acclaimed actor Michael Rooker of Guardians Of The Galaxy fame will speak on the NMSU campus Thursday April 9th 2pm at the Center for the Arts in the Medoff Theatre. The event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
