We are thrilled to announce that ticket packages for the 2026-27 season, Friendship, are now available! Our 6-concert Live at The Rosette series opens with Ana Vidovic in September and continues with a star-studded cast of some of our dearest friends including Jorge Caballero, Xuefei Yang, and David Russell. Our ACG Originals series of four concerts includes a new original score for the 1926 silent film The Adventures of Prince Achmed by husband and wife duo, Amanda and Celil Refik Kaya, a beautiful film score collaboration with Austin Chamber Music Center, a deep musical celebration of friendship with our very own Matt Hinsley, and an incredible performance of Joe Williams’ monumental original score for Alfred Hitchcock’s The Lodger (1927) featuring Bion Tsang and the Great Necks Guitar Trio. Find ticket packages here or through the link in our bio: /2026-27-friendship-packages/ The Rosette is an intimate venue, and most of our major events sell out in advance. Our ticket packages are a great way to make sure you have the seats you want, all season long. Tickets for individual concerts and live-stream events will go on sale June 6. #austinclassicalguitar #classicalguitar #livemusic #do512 #thingstodoaustin

It’s hard for me to believe that 2026 marks my thirtieth year with ACG. I was a few weeks shy of my twenty-first birthday - and a month into my graduate studies - when I was given a box containing the corporate documents for what was then a small, all-volunteer organization. Within ten years ACG emerged as the largest entity of its kind in history. I had opportunities to meet all my childhood heroes and experiment with many new ideas. Pretty soon leaders of other organizations from across the world were calling to learn about how we were doing what we were doing. And those calls have never stopped! I’m writing this morning to invite you to a free happy hour edition of ACGtalks at The Rosette on Thursday, March 26 at 5:30pm when beloved Austin journalist Robert Faires and I will talk about the journey. RSVP for in person or for the livestream here or in our bio: /acgtalks-rsvp/ I don’t know what Robert will ask me, but I’m really looking forward to the conversation. I hope we’ll share stories of adventure, wonder, and surprise of which there are many. I hope we’ll talk about how music changes lives of which I am now certain after years of witnessing it first-hand. I hope he’ll pull out of me truths about the profound transformations that have occurred inside my heart thanks to the love of this precious community and the kindness of the caring souls that surround me in our team, our audience, our supporters, our teachers, and our students. I’m grateful beyond words for the opportunities we’ve had to share the wonder of beauty and creation with so many across the world. I’m excited in the knowledge that we’re just getting started. With deepest thanks and hopes I’ll see you soon, Matt Hinsley ACG Executive Director photo by Jack Kloecker @jackkloecker #acg35 #austinclassicalguitar #do512 #do512music #robertfaires

It’s Amplify Austin week! At Austin Classical Guitar, we believe in the transformative power of music. We have witnessed firsthand how music can transcend boundaries, touch hearts, and make a positive impact in people’s lives. Over the past decade, we have been privileged to create and sustain Texas’ first and only daily, for-credit performing arts course for young people incarcerated in the Juvenile Justice system. Our 2026 Amplify Austin goal is to raise $15,000, enough to provide instruments, class materials, and support for our wonderful team of teaching artists. Donors will be invited to upcoming performances as our Juvenile Justice program continues to grow! Learn more and donate here or through the link in our bio: /organizations/austin-classical-guitar #amplifyaustin #musiceducation #donate #supportlocal #juvenilejustice
