10 years ago’s #ShredForDime,
@estysanchez28 got us (
@thesamanthahatano ,
@wenavelasco ,
@kharu.drums.gw ,
@carcass_morris ) all together to play 1 song -Shedding Skin. We jokingly called ourselves “Pantitties” just for kicks.
I was still living in Orange County back then, was in over my head to even give it a try. I barely know how to play solos even with my original band back then (
@infinitedeathofficial ) I was a rhythm/melody girl, Dimebag solos were way outta my league(and still as every little pinch harmonic is a happy little accident for me).
Somehow the stars aligned and these girls were (and are) pretty amazing so I thought I wouldn’t mind trying this out and see where it goes. From that one song, we grew. We decided to take it more seriously, changed the name to Cowgirls From Hell (🙋🏻‍♀️my band-name idea won this time). We have since parted with
@kharu.drums.gw and
@carcass_morris as their respective musical journeys called for us to go our separate ways. Wena, Sam, and I despite the challenges of being in a band, we kept it going(somehow), and they became two of my bestest friends. Fast forward to today, I cant help but feel grateful as I look back at all memories of all amazing people we have met, the amazing musicians we’ve shared the stage with (shoutout to some of the best drummers in the SD-
@adamwestdrums @dylanmarksmusic , NorCal-AlexMiddleton and Montreal-
@kevymetal66 respectively to name a few), and the cities I never imagined to ever visit and of course their foods! So grateful for this ride guys. More memories loading… see y’all tonight! #CFH #trusttheprocess #acrylicpainting #glowinthedark
