Daniel Rosenbaum’s practice is rooted in the expression of emotion and energy through gesture, informed by over 50 years of Tai Chi. Movement, balance, and release shape his approach to painting.
Working intuitively, he describes a process similar to automatic drawing by allowing the unconscious to lead the initial painted gestures, then stepping back to re-engage with a more reflective, conscious edit. This shifting dialogue between impulse and revision is central to Daniel’s work.
