the underbelly wants to be seen the roar wants to be heard the curtain will be lifted again and again in our effort to carry
we build our strength
as blood flows into / away from
the heart and weighted traces of opinions
our mass / like gold bars, solid
not sharp like broken glass yes / certain things that haunt us turn the body into armour but we can still slow rise to standing
soft / absorbent
breathable
this is an order
because only then
will certain things that haunt us
turn the body into cotton
high sun and comforting rain
hand in hand
hugging ghosts / old friends
stagnant and renewable stories
they are the gentle beauty of our blooms so delicate to thought and opportunity
certain things that haunt us are gorgeous but difficult portraying horizons through doom and gloom cracking our shells
to expand / be startled eyes that love without a trace of fear
beauty, so needed for this time
see it in others
see it in yourself.
