Last days to visit Thailand Biennale Phuket! Found something special in installing the Rubber Works in Pompool mall in the city of Phuket — a ghostly abandoned mall in an alive neighbourhood reflecting on changing cities’ economy -its circular windows opening to the street, viewing the slow movements of a red light district by day. The Rubber Works felt completely at home there, and the female stories they evoke could dialogue both with visitors and the city. Also it was the first time, even if installed in an inside space, the rubber sheets would gently move with wind and air circulation, making the ghostly evocation of the character feel even more present! It was a technical challenge, to let them be alive and moving without fall or unwrapping, but we made it. So beautiful to witness. Thank you all fellow artists for sharing art and time in Phuket, curators, the amazing docents guiding visitors into the artworks’ stories and background, Supernormal, and all the biennial team. Rubber Works are traveling to another location soon! Keep posted. @thailand_biennale @arinrungjang @hera_sc @supernormal_studio

_______ EN — b. 1978 in Molfetta, Italy. Lives and works in Rotterdam, Netherlands and Brussels, Belgium. Across film, sculpture, performance and sound, Rossella Biscotti addresses historical narratives and systems of power. By bringing together individual testimonies and institutional archives, she constructs narratives that examine political, social, and economic dynamics, having notably engaged with Italian political history, questions of gender, climate issues, and the politics of resource extraction. Her practice operates as a form of critical reconstruction, drawing attention to marginalised or overlooked histories, while exploring the relationships between memory, testimony, and the production of collective knowledge. © Raffaella Quaranta #art #contemporary #biennaledelyon #biennale

Rossella Biscotti. Title One, I Dreamt, Clara and Other Stories Edited by @marianna.vecellio Published by @buchhandlungwaltherfranzkoenig The volume, born from the most extensive retrospective of the artist held at Castello di Rivoli Museo d’Arte Contemporanea, reaches the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genùve through an in-depth video hosted on its digital platform the 5th floor. Curator Marianna Vecellio guides us through @rosbiscotti ’s practice and selected works, interweaving her reflections with contributions from the artist herself. The result is a layered and engaging understanding that reactivates the analysis of the artistic practice as well as of the narratives embedded in Biscotti’s work, opening up new ways of reading and listening to their stories. Video supported by the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genùve. Publication supported by the Italian Council 13th edition promoted by Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Italian Ministery of Culture. We are thrilled to annonce that Rossella Biscotti won the Belgian Art Prize 2027! __ From a longlist of more than 60 artists, Rossella Biscotti was unanimously chosen as the BelgianArtPrize 2027 laureate. Biscotti is invited to create and present new work next year at Bozar (April -June 2027). The jury was convinced by the originality, consistency and brilliance of Biscotti’s work. She explores pressing social issues – such as climate crisis, migration and postcolonialism – in a subtle and nuanced manner. Biscotti integrates broad historical narratives with subjective personal experiences, bringing to life the multiplicity of stories that exist in the margins of official History. The forms and materials that she employs to embody her research-driven practice are diverse and surprising. The jury felt it was the right moment to award her the BelgianArtPrize, thereby increasing the visibility of her practice and acknowledging her influential, though often understated, position within the Belgian art scene. Her work speaks to a generation of artists whose practices have had an impact on the broader cultural landscape in Belgium and beyond. Rossella Biscotti has already had the opportunity to take part in “major exhibitions in leading institutions,” most recently at the Thailand Biennale (2025) and the 16th Sharjah Biennial (2024). Congratulations Rosella! @rosbiscotti @belgianartprize We are also delighted to announce her upcoming solo show at our gallery in Paris, opening on May 23! Photo: Bea Borgers

“The root of poet is to make”. Blown away by Ocean Vuong, his singing “A Change is Gonna Come” made the all theatre reverberate and shake - sound on for clips of this amazing writer’s words, on violence, loss, queerness, language, poetical/ political devises, surrender, impossible to summarise. Thank you, in full love
