Last night we said goodbye to our wonderful MiracleCat, Trouble. This is so difficult to write. This is going to take time.
Trouble made it to 21 years old. Old enough to drink if he was human, as of this week, our vet asked what would be his favorite and I answered “he’d work in security as a bouncer and would have an old fashioned as a night cap”. He had fresh salmon recently a few times which was his favorite. At night he’d always check around the house to make sure everything was good before hopping up on bed to watch over us and sleep. Essentially, and to quote hubby @wardenofmacragge13 , “Trouble was a dog in a cat’s body and he loved everybody”. He was such a fighter, always wanting to check on the baby bump.
It happened fast out of nowhere, which I am grateful for that he felt little pain and we were able to get medical attention quickly. He was surrounded by Anthony, Annika Cat, myself and our vet with a bird video playing, next to his sister’s urn and his favorite toys.
Trouble, thank you so much for being there for half of my life. You’ve been with me for so much. I am in shock, and numb. I am absolutely devastated. But I know you’re with your sister Gatti now. I know I need to be strong and right now I’m being vulnerable, so I suppose right now I’ll be strongly vulnerable. I can’t wait to tell our daughter all about you soon, and how you watched over all of us through the years.
I love you always Trouble, thank you for everything.

After five long years of IVF, hubby and I are so proud to announce that we are expecting this fall! We are so grateful to the doctors both abroad and at home, with our team at @institutobernabeu providing top notch care. After several hospitalizations, Mama and bean are back in the United States and doing well thanks to the incredible healthcare in Italy.
