The solstice holds a strange clarity. Time stretches. Light lingers. A body. A threshold. A tension before form.
Emily Dickinson wrote:
To make a prairie it takes a clover and one bee.
One bee, and revery.
The revery alone will do, if bees are few.
Desire doesn’t need much. Just a charge. A pause. The right kind of attention.
It begins where thought loosens, and things don’t rush.

At the time, it felt like I stole the picture, as the parents lay asleep, entwined; their son awake, gazing into the distance. They exude an air of calm and serenity while speeding through the landscape towards tomorrow’s uncertainty.”
