Huge thanks to @tegiwa for having me down for the 20 Years of Tegiwa Event at Blyton yesterday. Awesome couple of days with great people! sun, mates, cars what more could you want. New circuit unlocked - looking forward to heading back to Blyton! Car came alive in the afternoon once I finally ditched the old rubber, was nice to have all the effort recently on this finally pay off, even drove back onto the trailer ready for the next one! 💪🏼

It’s back! Been down a while after a pretty hairy failure on track last year with the end of steering arm on the shock mount shearing off 😅. Finally all fixed up, fresh service, full bolt check, new clutch and plenty of other tidy ups!
Massive shoutout to @c0x_y for fabbing me up some new lower shock mounts at short notice and managing to Frankenstein the original Nitron cups with some sacrificial yellow speed steering arms, not only are these much stronger now but also reverts back to the stock geometry for the steering arm height (the original Nitron low arm setup just didn’t work with the car). See pictures 👍.
Also thanks @sj_westy for sending me over a spare rotrex bracket after noticing mine was cracked much appreciated!

PART 4 - Anchor Upgrades
Quickly established a 2+ ton truck doesn’t want to stop, or like being stopped the same as a 90’s 900kg bean can Honda sitting on a £3k brake kit 😂 (strange I know). After a couple of “oh shit where are the brakes” moments, decided to try and balance things back in my favour. Luckily enough @freakyparts recently came out with a kit for the X-Class to upgrade to a C63 caliper and 360mm disc, so call it fate or whatever, here it is.
Wasn’t without the usual 1 hour job turns into a weekend type frustration, C63 Calipers notorious for seizing bleed screws, obviously ones I picked up second hand had all 4 bleeders royally welded in. Class. 1mm on the ratchet back and forward for a few hours with much fire and spray I emerged victorious. Reminded forever by the once silver now golden colour highlights. I could refurb them and have them all freshly coated again but don’t forget it is just a truck 😂.
Shame the wheels mostly hide them but if you know you know or at least I do 😅.
