Bruges, we’re proud to welcome Mark Professor A true veteran of London’s reggae scene, Mark Professor has been collecting and playing vinyl since 1979. Known for his versatile “round-trip” style, touching on multiple genres of soulful black music. He moves effortlessly through roots reggae, rocksteady, soul and beyond. A founding member of the Selector Showcase platform and a seasoned soundsystem MC, he brings both deep selections and mic energy to every session. With over 20,000 records in his collection and a love for 7” selections, expect nothing but pure vibes. From London dances to international sessions, now for the very first time landing in Bruges for a strictly vinyl night. Also spinning vinyl: the legendary Roots Retainers, no introduction needed in Bruges, masters of a fine selection and timeless vibes. And we, Roots Boots, carrying the energy through the night! Alpha Pup & Tonto Addi ready for the session tomorrow! Can’t miss!

Introducing our last special guest Tonto Addi! Official deejay from parisian crew Upfull Posse, Tonto Addi ram dancehall since 2007. His style blends influences from jamaican 80’s early dancehall with lyrics inspired by his personal experience, his vision of the world and readapting the genre’s usual codes. Based in Berlin since 2013, he dropped his debut project Dancehall Showcase in 2014, produced by Raggattack, followed by his first 7” vinyl single, Operation Evacuation, with Hotta Hennewhich has been sold out in 3 months. Subsequent big releases included his second album Dancehall Freak, produced by Hotta Henne in 2019, followed by two EPs on the Upfull Posse label: Cooking Move with Raggattack in 2021 and Beware with Real Rockers in 2022. 
In addition to the albums, Addi has consistently released digital or vinyl singles throughout the years, with label such as Hotta Riddims, Dancehall Tradition, JStar, Midnight Resistance, Balkans Hi-Fi, or Spero Demus. He is currently working on several projects including a new album. Addi regularly tours all over Europe, and played festivals like Dub Camp, No Logo, Fusion. True to the rub a dub game, expect an energetic show, full a lyrics and well versatile! Additionally, he’s actively involved in event promotion and label management, co-organizing dances in Paris and Berlin, and managing both the Hotta Riddims and Upfull Posse labels. Introducing our second special guest Alpha Pup! Alpha Pup is a Reggae DJ/Toaster from Porto, Portugal. He began his musical studies at the tender age of 7 playing classic double bass. From bass to vocals, in “Blackjackers” his fusion band, he got himself interested into production and lyrical composition. That’s when he found the Jamaican sounds. Inspired by the genre concept he started getting deeply involved in the “Real Rockers” movement taking place in Porto town as a lyricist, singer, instrumentalist, composer and producer. Introducing our first special guest Missing Link! Missing Link is one of the best known and hardest working MC’s in the Belgian reggae scene.He has been a part of the belgian reggae scene as a selector/DJ/MC for over 20 years. He has been working with Black Pearl Soundsystem, Jahmbassador HiFi, Ionyouth Soundsystem, producer Crucial Alphonso and many more. He’s also a part of the Blackbird Soundsystem crew, who host their roots reggae based sessions regularly at Trix in Antwerp city. In addition to being an MC, Missing Link is also a drummer for the Antwerp-based bands Spellbreakers and Hi-Flyers (the studio band at Kingston Echo’s Hoboken HiFi studio).
