Open Access Riso printing runs alongside the project, so rootspress members bring your prepared files on paper or a stick - newbies very welcome

As it’s the Easter holls, this month’s Print Club is running NEXT weekend!
Join us in the studio on Saturday 11th April between 2 - 5pm for Open Access Riso printing.
For those looking to make their first Riso prints with us… we’ll be giving INDUCTIONS onto the Riso at 2:30pm and 3:30pm
Anyone needing advice on designing for RISO or assistance setting up their files for print, we can get into that during the session too.
Regular Print Club members as always, welcome to come and simply use the studio to print their work and bind publications.

Carving some mega-beauiful designs today (not mine- I’m just the lowly stamp-maker) for local @verdantbrew … These gorgeous stamps will be part of “print your own” collab with Amy from @rootspress as part of the Verdant Originals event at the @verdant_taproom on Sunday 29 March… You can screenprint your own merch with the fabulous @saturdayprintco and hand-press your own poster with @rootspress … all whilst sipping on a delicious bevy… sounds like heaven… look it up!
This month at Print Club we making Riso Animations!
Saturday 7th March 2pm - 5pm
Following on from the excitement of last months flip books, this time we will be working digitally, creating a contact sheet in photoshop and printing in 2 - 3 colours on the RISO to scan and turn into a short reel.
Bring along your laptop and if you have time, prepare some source material or ideas in advance: theme suggestion ... St Piran / Year of the Fire Horse ... Welcoming spring ... or something or simply anything that you have been working on.
OPEN ACCESS RISO printing will also be running as a drop in 2-5pm. Bring along your artwork / files on the day, or email in advance to [email protected] and we can have them ready to go.

Print club tonight was all about these folded paper decorations and a two colour design with both collage and drawn elements …. Well done Alice and Chez who created their unique designs and are off to buy some quality streets with which to fill them!
Our monthly print club usually runs on the first Saturday of every month and revolves around an experimental print project as well as open access Riso printing… info on how to join us next month is on our website and the project will be announced in the coming weeks.
