I had an amazing time @blackgirlsmh Black Maternal Mental Health Summit. There were amazing, empowering speakers aka change agents. It is always great to hear about doulas, mental health clinicians and policy analysts and how they engage with birthing people, their families and the community to improve mental health and mortality outcomes. Yet also supporting people to thrive. I had the honor of presenting my work on Inclusive practices geared at the non-birthing people and fathers in care.
I'm excited to announce that I will present my work on father-inclusive practice at @blackgirlsmh at their Black Maternal Mental Health Summit May 5 & 6. This summit is so important and timely. #bmmhsummit2026 #BlackMaternalMentalHealth

You know, I love group therapy. It is often a more affordable way into therapy. It's also a way to build community. You are not alone. Beginning September 6th, Saturday at 10 am in person, I am facilitating a six week womens group focused on life transitions. Building boundaries, learning self care, and letting go of narratives or ideas that no longer if ever helped you to thrive. I'll incorporate journaling, movement, and other practices into the work. Check out Eventbrite for more details. Link is in the bio.
I know it's late notice BUT RTCS and Bright Moments Therapy is celebrating 1 year of being in our office space! So much has happened! It's a free event. You are invited to come and see the space, enjoy small bites, and see what is coming up for both of our practices. #blackfemaleowned #blackfemaletherapist #mentalhealth #emdrtherapost #traumatherapist #mybrotherskeeper #mysisterskeeper #mindfulness
