Planet A - Day 1
□ We started our day with the morning circle
□ We talked about what's formal and in formal education
□ We got to know each other by working on small groups
□ We established the rules to create a respectful, supportive, and collaborative environment for everyone.
□ We wrote down our expectations our fears and our contributions for the next days
□ We are being hosted in Banská Stiavnica at Skautský dom. The owner of the hostel told us more about the history of this place.

Day 8 – Evaluation & Closing
The final day was all about warpping up the experience.
💬 Through the framework of Youthpass competencies, we looked at our learnings and our growth during this experience and we shared them with our reflection groups, in our last meeting.
🌱 We worked then in our national teams to design outreach workshops and ideas we can bring back to our communities.
✉️ We closed the experience for ourselves with a guided meditation and a personal letter to the ocean. And then, we came again together. We shared words of appreciation and gratitude with eachother, in pairs and then all together, in a last circle.
🌊 The ocean did not miss either. Forming a corridor of people, we each entered and let ourselved guided by the hands of others that were carressing and leading us like gentle waves of the ocean.
🎁 We leave with a lot of memories, learnings, unexpected connections and hope in our hearts, hope that it’s not too late to change something in the world. And after spending so many days by its side, we know and we can feel on our skin that the ocean and all bodies of water have an incredible power to cure, both us and itself.

Day 7 – Local action
16.3 kilos of trash!
🧤 This is how much we gathered during our beach clean-up in Astros. According to the data collected from all the groups, most of it was composed of small pieces of plastic or cigarette buds.
What we did was simple, but powerful. Every piece collected felt like a small step toward something better. And these feelings of contribution, proactivity and hope - this is something that will stay with us.
☀️ The rest of the day was to slow down, explore Astros, enjoy the scenery and the local Greek culture, and process everything we experienced in our own way.
Special mention to the Greek and Romanian teams, who united forces for creating an unforgettable Balkan night!

Day 6 – Activism through Video-making
🎥 Today, we turned ideas into videos. Planning, filming, creating stories that could raise awareness and inspire others.
The process was intense but very exciting and watching the results all together was both rewarding and since the project is almost finishing, a bit nostalgic. By the end, it felt like our voices were taking form, ready to reach the world. 🌍
🔥 Big shoutout to the Spanish team for a firey intercultural night, full of fun games and good music!

Day 5 – Waste as Art
🗑️ Today, we tried understanding the problem from a different perspective - from inside. Through storytelling and performances, we explored what it feels like to be ocean waste, lost, harmful, and everywhere.
🎨 Later, creativity took over.
In national groups, we composed songs about ecological initiatives in our country and we put on a show! And using waste materials, we created an art gallery with canvases showing ocean life, challenges, and possible solutions. Each piece told a story, not just about pollution, but about responsibility and change.
🧀 Ending the day strong with the Italian-Portuguese night, spoiled by the two teams with their national delicacies and the usual Kahoot!

Day 4 – Climate Challenges
Today got intense!
🧩 Through the Climate Fresk, we connected the dots between human actions and climate change, step by step, seeing the full picture come together. The discussions that arised were interesting, but at times very heavy.
🔬To lift up the mood, we zoomed in for a little bit, observing fascinating samples of marine plants and animals and learning about them.
✍️ In groups, we created posters of climate actions showing cause, impact, and possible solutions for the climate challenges we encountered. It pushed us to think clearly and take responsibility for what we can change.
🖼️ Continuing on a proactive note, we simulated a role-play scenario, in order to better understand the politics and interconnections involved in local climate challenges.
And suddenly, we became activitsts, fishing farms managers and Korakovouni locals, researching and preparing strategies with our colleagues. We gathered in a local assembly in front of our tough jury and debated on ocean degradation at local level.
🔥 Strategies were formed, protests arised, arguments went on fire! But in the end, we got to the best ethical agreement for our community.
🇺🇦 To end this amzing and intense day, we celebrated with Ukrainian treats and games, prepared by our gorgeous Ukrainian group.
What.a.day.

Day 3 – Diving in
🌊 We started by asking a simple question, what is the ocean to me. One word each, then turning it into drawings, stories, songs, small performances. It felt personal and connecting from the very beginning.
As we shared, the room filled with different meanings, calm, power, nostalgy, home. This short dive into ocean life reminded us how alive and complex it really is.
🐠 Later, we explored the ocean in depth, from surface to deep sea, from tropics to polar waters. Walking through a living map on the floor made it all feel closer and more real.
🌍 In the afternoon, things got more serious. We looked at threats like pollution and climate change, trying to understand their impact and what can be done in practice. And we ended the session moving, playing, and learning through our bodies, connecting ocean challenges with energy and action.
🎥 The day closed with reflections and a movie night about ocean conservation. The night was a tribute to the ocean but also to David Attenborough himself, who narrated the documentary and P.S. is turning 100 years old this week. 🤯

Day 2 – First Waves
☀️ Promising start in Xiropigado! The sun is back, everything is prepared and participants are all on board!
We started by getting to know eachother - through deep conversations but also fun little games that helped us connect. We were also introduced to the journey ahead, from the programme to Youthpass, which helped us reflect on our learning goals.
🤝 In the afternoon, we went into problem solving mode! A treasure hunt, an impossible mission that we almost made possible and a lot of cooperation. This is how we dived into ocean literacy principles, Youthpass competencies and a cat walk… among others.
🌊 Today’s busy schedule closed with reflection groups - our little crews during the project, that will support us in our learning process - followed by a long night of chats and fun. We can’t wait to set sail!

Day 1 - Seaside Settling
🌅 We arrived late in the afternoon, all together, tired but full of curiosity about what was coming. The @sunset.hotel.restaurant , our home for the next few days, started to fill with new faces, many languages, and that slightly awkward but exciting first energy.
🏡 We got welcomed, settled in our cozy rooms and as soon as we shortly introduced each other after dinner, things began to feel easier. Conversations flowed, laughs came naturally, and the first connections started forming.
🌊 Blue Youth is a deep dive into the ocean, climate change and activism. We are 37 young people on a journey to promote biodiversity conservation, while developing new skills and knowledge on marine ecosystems. Come along!
