It’s been awhile since we have introduced ourselves! The Santa Cruz Flower Hub consists of 8 farmers this year and 2 Hub staff members. Introducing your Santa Cruz Flower farmers and hub crew… Edith Pulido @florecemos_ Hub Manager - We are grateful to have Edith apart of the hub this year! They connect with our florists, work directly with the farmers, answer emails, organize our hub cooler and make sure everything runs smoothly. Thanks Edith! Kelly Brown @dorightflowerfarm Located in Davenport, Kelly grows 4 acres of organic flowers. They are invested in change in the broader flower community by engaging in ecological integrated pest management research and education. Kelly is also a co-manager of the Santa Cruz Hub. Jessica Defaymoreau @laurelcanyonfarm Located in Soquel, Jessica grows 2 acres of heirloom cut flowers using environmentally sustainable practices to ensure the health of the land and harmony with nature. Jessica is also a co- manager of the hub and runs our social media. 👋 Charlotte Kett @frogandfeatherflowers Located in Watsonville, growing on 1/4 acre her and her husband Bryan practice minimal tillage and provide habitation for the wildlife on their farm. Haley Wall @rooster_ridge Located in Aptos, Haley along with her parents Curt and Nancy are a certified organic small family farm specializing in annuals and perennial shrubs. Bethany Guenther @pricklypoppyfarm Located in Watsonville, Bethany grows specialty cut flowers with a focus on CA natives and drought tolerant perennials using biodynamic practices. Kaysea Cook @flowersatthesea Located in Monterey/ Davenport, Kaysea grows sustainable cut flowers using mindful practices growing along our coastal shores. Cristina McCutheon @localifeflowerfarm Located in Santa Cruz Mountains, Cristina grows on 1/2 acre of a diverse range of cut florals and foliage, including specialty Narcissus, peonies and roses. Monica Meyer @moflowersca Located in Aptos, nestled among vineyards Monica grows high quality blooms, using sustainable farming practices. Clare @_mudsucker Delivery Expertise! My bee keeping experience has been a difficult one to say the least, but this fall we finally got to have our first honey harvest!!! Would never have gotten to this point without the guidance of @santacruzbeeco . I’ll forever be grateful for this first pot of gold!💛🍯🐝and big shout out to my girls🐝🐝🐝for making the best honey I’ve ever tasted 🫶hopefully much more to come and share in the future
