Roof Above is an interfaith nonprofit; we believe that every person deserves the safety, stability, and dignity of a home.
With community contributions, we support more than 1,200 individuals across 9 campuses; provide more than 500 emergency shelter beds; and nearly 700 units of supportive housing. Last year, we helped move 443 people from homelessness to housing.
This #GivingTuesday, we welcome you to unite with us to end homelessness, one life at a time. There are several ways to engage through volunteering your time, donating much-needed winter items on our WishList or donating financially. Visit .
Thank you, we are not able to do this work without your support!
Here at Roof Above, the people we serve constantly remind us of the resilience of the human spirit, and the capacity for joy.
We are so thrilled that Keep Pounding Day gave us an opportunity to witness that joy. Thank you to @panthers and @splitsecondsound for giving us a cause and a soundtrack to celebrate! #keeppoundingday #keeppoundingš
THE PANTHERS SPREAD JOY AT ROOF ABOVE
May 1 is #KeepPoundingDay in honor of #SamMills51 and thanks to the Carolina Panthers, it was a truly joyful day at Roof Aboveās Day Services Center, where we serve lunch and provide basic services to people experiencing homelessness 365 days a year. This will be a day to remember.
They showed up early, stayed long, played games, talked, danced, served lunch and gave generously in many ways.
Thank you @Panthers for the time you spent with us today and for supporting our work, our community, and our neighbors.
We will be cheering even louder for you this year! (@BryceYoung even converted a Cowboys fan;)
Meet one of our amazing volunteers Ishara! Ishara champions community here in Charlotte, and one of the ways she gives back to the Charlotte community is through her volunteer work at the Roof Above Day Services Center. Thank you, Ishara, for all you do!

We are so grateful for the innovation and collaboration that exists within our community! The Housing Impact Fund has raised another $102 million to preserve an estimated 1,500 units of Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing (NOAH) in our community by 2028.
We believe this is one of the most impactful interventions happening in the affordable housing space. Congratulations our partners at Housing Impact Fund and @ascent housing, and thank you to their investors!
We look forward to helping end homelessness for people by connecting them to your properties!

Homelessness is solvable, ONE LIFE AT A TIME!
At Roof Above we are constantly amazed by the strength and persistence of our unsheltered neighbors. Bus trips, application fees, keeping a phone charged - there are hundreds of obstacles, big and small, on the path back to housing.
So when we find out one of of our neighbors is being housed,
WE REJOICE!
We are grateful to the many partners, donors and volunteers who make these joyful moments possible.
This time of of year, as our Room in the Inn
We CAN solve homelessness - united as a community, one life at a time!
