THE INSPO vs. THE FILM 🎥
What do Anora, Dua Lipa, and a Vodka ad spot have in common? They’re all inspiration for our kick-ass house party scene! We pulled from film, music videos, and commercials to craft a unique and fun scene (arguably our favorite scene of the short!)
In it, the Queens are enviously watching another band rock out. (Many thanks to @roninstest for showing up and rocking our set, and @lizzyvine for rocking along). 🎸
We wanted to be extremely playful with colors in this scene (lots of blue, purple, pink) to express the vibrant, colorful personalities of Chloe & Lizzy, because being immersed in music is when the Queens are in their element.

We wrote this dark comedy as a love letter to our (unfounded) lack of faith and conviction in our own creative pursuits.
We challenged ourselves to make this film as a way to prove to ourselves that we could and to poke a little fun at our own fears and delusions in the process.
We wrote the characters and major props as a metaphor for ourselves, our fears and our motivations in life. In the end, it's just a fun little story that we dreamed up and hopefully ya'll enjoy it too!
