- General Entries close Wednesday 20 May 8pm.
- Late Entries close Thursday 21 May 8pm.
NB!!! No, zero, nada substitutions, downgrades, Late Entries etc after Thursday 8pm. We are going to be very strict about this, so this is your heads-up.
Route Info:
The routes are 95% the same as previous years, with a few tweaks here and there.
We are plotting the final routes on Monday, and GPX files will only be made available to entrants on Thursday evening. We are riding over a lot of private land on the last few kilometers, so no pre riding of routes is allowed.
Start Times:
Final Start times will be posted on Monday. The 100 miler Racing Men and Women will have their own start batches like at Bain's and Malmesbury.

100 Miler - 7:30
50 Miler - 8:00
30 Miler - 8:30
15 Miler - 9:00
Number Collection and Venues:
Friday: 12-2pm - Sportsmans Warehouse Tyger Valley.
Friday: 5-7pm - Laerskool Riebeek Kasteel Sports Hall.
Saturday: 6am onwards - Laerskool Riebeek Kasteel Sports Hall.

Ladies Full-Gas! Like with Bain's and Malmesbury, the Racing Ladies will have their own separate start. This makes for fair and very exciting racing. We can’t wait to see this Final Cape Gravel Cup race unfold!

We're excited to announce some lekker Route Changes to the final few kilometers of the 2026 RVR Route. The last 5 kilometers will be fast and straight back to Riebeek past Delico. We therefore cut out the last section of Jeep-Track next to the Railway Line. We feel this will make it much easier to navigate and pass riders on the last stretch home. Also quite welcome, especially this year, is that we won't need to cross the little river crossing as in previous years. 🫠💦
Final GPX files will be sent out to all participants next week. We please ask riders not to pre-ride the route, quite a lot of it goes over private land.

We are very excited to announce the 2027 Ronde Van Swartberg - Karoo Expedition.
The 2027 route will run in the opposite direction to previous years, with riders tackling the mighty Swartberg Pass first. A fast drop down to De Rust follows on the Oudemuragie Road, after which we meander through the breathtaking Meiringspoort. From Klaarstroom riders will head back to Prince Albert on a beautiful Great Karoo gravel road, which promises a truly stunning experience.
We have also moved our date forward by a few weeks - the 2027 edition will take place on the 10th of April.
