Hey everyone. It's Bisan from Gaza and I'm still alive.
I've been reflecting about the ginkgo tree and how its resilience mirrors the people from Palest1ne. Did you know that these trees were the only living creatures to survive the atomic bomb of Hiroshima? When spring came, out of the gray, they flourished.
Through my screen, l've witnessed Bisan endure the harsh realities of the Israeli occupation. Yet, what astonishes me most is her ability to uncover moments of joy in her daily
life, like finding a tiny turie, enjoying chocolate, tending to stray cats in Gaza, or painting with children, she finds beauty everywhere.
As I watch her navigate each day with grace, I am reminded that resilience is not just survival; it is the ability to understand that joy and softness can be a form of resistance.

Lumen photo - lumen print is a cameraless photographic image created by placing objects (often botanicals) directly onto light-sensitive black-and-white photographic paper and exposing them to sunlight. It is a form of solar photogram that produces unique, often colorful, and dreamy, one-of-a-kind images through a long, direct, and unpredictable exposure.
Anthotype print - An anthotype is an eco-friendly, 19th-century photographic process that creates images using light-sensitive emulsions made from crushed plant materials, such as flower petals, berries, or fruits. It is a contact printing method where UV sunlight bleaches the exposed areas, producing a positive, often ephemeral, image that gradually fades over time. Link in bio
