Top 10 Vinyl Albums of 2025
It’s that time a year when people count down the best of the best. There are a couple of notable bands and musicians on this list. But sometimes it’s not the mainstream albums that always catch our attention. It’s the ones out on the periphery that slide into our ear drums and stay for a while due to their memorable lyrics, melodic guitar tones, or infectious drum beats. Here’s a few that did just that for me this year:

Allen and I first met in 2019 and we clicked right away - I remember thinking ‘where have you been all my life?’, which I’ve learned was a common feeling for people who were lucky enough to call him a friend - he was so warm, soulful, and caring with everyone who came into his life. Allen was immediately a champion of my music and quickly tried to involve me in his creative community and the many musical projects he was working on. After a year of honing a pretty special collaborative process while scoring a few TV shows, we created Romantic Dividends as our own artistic entity and proceded to compose, produce and release GIALLO. Allen was so proud of the music we made and that we gave the album the proper vinyl release that it deserved. It pains me so much to think that it was supposed to be just the beginning for Romantic Dividends, but I’m forever grateful and proud that a little piece of the two of us is out in the world. Rest in peace Allen Blickle, taken from us far too soon ❤️
I’m utterly devastated to share that Allen Blickle passed away last week. Allen was well beyond a bandmate and musical collaborator to me - he was my brother; a creative force who I always looked up to. It’s a testament to how easily Allen made the people around him feel like family. I love and miss you forever buddy 💔
