My last post of a clip from my 1993 interview with La Toya Jackson raised a few eyebrows and some of you felt a certain way about it ... and I heard you.
My intention was to document a significant moment in entertainment history: the Jackson family's complexity during the early 90s. I was sharing an archival interview as a historical record, not as an attack on Michael Jackson's legacy or memory.
But I do recognize that my post hit a nerve for some MJ fans, who felt hurt or offended. That was never my goal. Michael Jackson's impact on music and culture -- and me -- is undeniable, and I have deep respect for his artistry and what he gave the world.
What I was documenting was the arc of the *family drama*âthe messiness that existed at that moment in time.
History isn't always comfortable, and sometimes it's complicated. But I never meant to hurt your feelings with my post.
