Four years. One goal. 100% hydrogen.
We've completed a four-year hydrogen combustion gas turbine testing programme with @easyjet , culminating in a modified Pearl 15 engine running on 100% hydrogen at NASA's Stennis Space Center, including at maximum take-off thrust and across a full simulated flight cycle.
The insight from this programme will support our work on next-generation engine technologies including UltraFan®, as we continue to explore what the future of aviation could run on.

We will power ten additional U.S. Coast Guard Sentinel Class Fast Response Cutters, supporting the modernization of the fleet.
Each vessel will be equipped with mtu 20V 4000 M93L engines, delivering high performance, fuel efficiency and speeds of more than 28 knots.
The expanded program now totals 77 cutters, and our selection as the engine provider builds on our long-standing collaboration with Bollinger Shipyards.
Designed for demanding marine conditions, our mtu Series 4000 engines enable critical missions including search and rescue, law enforcement and national defense.

We have been selected to support the U.S. Coast Guard with the long-term maintenance of its National Security Cutter fleet.
The contract covers 10 vessels powered by our mtu Series 1163 engine – an industry benchmark in marine propulsion thanks to its reliability, performance and efficiency.
Our Power Systems team has supported the success of the fleet since the first cutter was commissioned in 2008, reflecting our firm commitment in enabling the U.S. Coast Guard to focus on their mission.

We are continuing to enable the transition to lower-carbon power by testing our mtu diesel engines in Germany with renewable diesel hydrogenated vegetable oil (HVO).
The HVO derived from vegetable oils and waste materials is now supporting our test benches in Friedrichshafen, Augsburg and Ruhstorf in Germany, saving around 3,200 tonnes of CO2 already.
Our mtu Series 4000 engines will go on to power ships, trains, data centres and other energy systems, with many of our customers already successfully operating with HVO.
