Originating from the Sunshine Coast, British Columbia, ethereal beatsmith Saturna has an artistic voice unlike any other. Saturna is a sonic story-teller who weaves layers of deeply emotive melodies and organic rhythms with cinematic flair.
A lifelong musician, Saturna is dedicated to stitching together narrative threads into a tapestry of distorted synths, warm throbbing basslines and lush percussive elements.
As the founder of Wildlife Division, Saturna is leading a collective of daring artists focused on pushing the boundaries through sound experimentation and live curation.

Letâs say waddup to one of the international headliners hitting the top of the south this Saturday!
CHMURA
Coming all the way from the US, Kai Chmura is ready to rip us up a new one, with his first performance in the region!
Chmura is a budding Electronic and Dubstep musician from Denver, Colorado, noted for their mesmerizing soundscapes and avant-garde beats. Chmura has swiftly established a reputation as one of the most dynamic and forward-thinking musicians in the game thanks to his exceptional ability to meld many techniques and genres.
His unique sound is rooted in US / UK dubstep but flexes a lot more psychedelic and organic influences, leaning away from the generalised dubstep soundscapes and exploring into more modern experimental realms. The foundation of his music definitely rides on the massive bass lines which open up the dance floor for an engaging experiencing with the crowd!
Catch this big dawg donny in action this Saturday.

Tomorrowâs the night @eastst_nelson ! So introducing our homie and absolute legend Charlie! This gem of a human has had our backs since we met him, and has done so much for the scene. We canât wait for him to shell out on @discrete_soundnz !
Charlie B aka OPTIMUS GRYME is a self taught producer who has been tapping away on beats for just over a decade. In 1998 Charlie started experimenting with trip hop and breaks, but it was his love for cutting edge breakbeats and massive basslines that drew Charlie into the world of drum and bass in 1999. Since then Charlie has immersed himself in all things Phat! In 2000 Charlie promoted some of New Zealandâs first ever hip hop & dnb fusion gigs, with P Money, Manuel Bundy, MC Green and Imon Starr, rhyming and scratching over Subtronixâs 48 Sonic, Riddle, Motion and Nick D (then known as Trick D).
In 2002 Charlie founded âOffbeat Recordsâ which promoted loads of events over a 4 year period, bringing Concord Dawn, Timmy Schumacher, Angela Fisken, Greg Churchill and DJ Sirvere to the backblocks of Waiheke Island.
In 2007 Charlie teamed up with DJ Swindle to host Kiwi FMâs âNZ Drum & Bass Showâ, which is now know as the NZ Electronic Show and is hosted by Absolute Value.
Charlie has been Djing for 15 years and has performed all over Australasia, and at some of NZâs largest gigs including CoroGold, Rhythm & Vines, La Da Da, Phat, Our House, Illuminate, Groove in the Park and numerous Deep, Hard & Funky events.
Charlie has a unique drive and passion for beats. He has truly dedicated his life to music, and given all he has done over the past 10 years, there is no doubt that he does it all for the love
