The Krewe of the Rolling Elvi has lost one of our own, Melissa “MeMe” Kugler. She was one of our most active and dedicated members who will be forever missed. Our hearts are with her husband and krewe member, Matt, as we all grieve this terrible loss. She will be missed so much, and we will officially pay tribute to her next Mardi Gras. TYTYVM for your kindness and your joy, MeMe.
KREWE SPOTLIGHT 🎙️🎸🛵 : We’re all shook up by our next guests coming to our, “Shimmy For A Cause Cammed Food Drive!” We’re welcoming the @rollingelvi and @jailhouserockers to the mix! Founded in 2003, the Rolling Elvi pays tribute to The King of Rock ‘N’ Roll by donning their pompadours and studded jumpsuits while riding their iconic scooters along the parade route! Their spin-off dance group, The Jailhouse Rockers, would later rock on to the scene in 2011. These groups do many things to support the community throughout the year, such as hosting a blood drive in the summer to help support the local blood bank. In the words of Elvis, “Thank you, thank you very much,” for joining us-we’re looking forward to seeing you!

We had the chance to catch up with some of the incredible 8th district officers and @orleansparishso officers out on the parade route during yesterday’s Easter celebrations and it did not disappoint! 🎉
A special moment for us as our President, Jessica Dietz, met up with the one and only @rollingelvi - Talk about iconic NOLA vibes! ⚡🎷
From start to finish, it was an amazing day filled with community, celebration, and connection.
🙏 HUGE thank you to all of the officers along the parade route who worked tirelessly to keep everyone safe. Your dedication does not go unnoticed, we appreciate you today and every day.
