What a day... Endometriosis awareness action + international women's day protest ๐ช
Every day, I'm grateful to the women who fought, and sometimes quite literally died in this battle, for me to be considered an autonomous person and not property, somebody and not just a body. Every day, I also think about how much more we deserve.
I'm proud to be "a difficult woman". One day, the issues we are fighting for today will seem as far away and as absurd as women not being allowed to own credit cards. I'm proud to be one of the people working for this future, and I hope you are too.
Don't let the bastards grind you down!
BITE BACK! ๐๐๐
I challenge:
@dr_hughes_endometriosis - because you are a fellow endo warrior, endo researcher, and all-round bada$$
@endo.oesterreich - because you're brilliant activists and amazing colleagues
@lena.ats - because you are part of the MEPs for women's health working group and we count on you to help us be heard! ๐ฆ๐น
And I challenge YOU - whoever you are reading this - to spread awareness and keep this going! Bite that lemon! ๐๐

๐ธ Discover fresh perspectives on endometriosis in this engaging online event series spotlighting research beyond the medical field. Scholars from the social sciences and humanities will present their work, exploring the lived, cultural, historical, and social dimensions of endometriosis.
๐ธ Each session is live and interactive on Zoom, featuring short research talks followed by a dynamic discussion. Attendees are encouraged to participate, ask questions, and join the conversation in real time. Canโt make it live? Recordings of each event will be available on YouTube after the session.

For me, for you, for us.
Thankful for @ulla_kriebernegg and @wohlmani for supporting me on this journey, believing in me, and fighting for this to happen.
Thankful for my girlies, for being my unrelenting cheerleaders.
Thankful for my mama, for raising me to be "the angry, feminist type".
