This country was built by people it was never willing to claim.
That has always been the contradiction at the center - the labor essential, the laborer disposable. Today that contradiction is being enforced with heightened aggression. The people who harvest the food, raise the children, build the buildings - made into targets.
This is not new. And neither is the resistance.
May 1st exists because workers named that dynamic and refused it.
The original Labor Day.

This May Day, vyoo and Steep are gathering to raise money for Movimiento Cosecha — an immigrant-led movement fighting for permanent protection, dignity, and respect for all undocumented people. Every dollar from ticket sales goes directly to the local MA chapter.

Steep returns to a private tea house loft for a night centered around music, dancing and deeper listening.
For those that made it to our first edition at this beautiful space, you know how special it is to be dancing as the sun creeps through the windows in the morning.
For this one we are excited to welcome on local favorite and Spin the Bottle co-founder, Patchwork. She shares our love for the sounds of the 80’s and 90’s and is a vibrant presence in nightlife here. We’re thrilled to have her set the tone for the evening and hear her disco, house and electro selections!
Sets from Rohan (LIVE) and Zella will follow and a special ~5 hour closing from Cutty.

Sojourn Presents: Tau Car, Rohan (live), and Joe Rizk
Last Saturday reminded us of something simple but powerful: when the right dancers gather with intention, even a simple room can feel alive.
On Saturday March 21st we return to this space with a different mood. As winter loosens its grip, we welcome the softer tones of spring. 🌱
We’re proud to host the Boston debut of France born and Berlin based Tau Car. Quirky, psychedelic, and stripped back, her selections carry the kind of thoughtfulness we’re always searching for in our guests.
Rohan, Steep resident, joins us for his Sojourn debut. A longtime soldier of the dancefloor, his live set merges rock instrumentation with the irresistible pulse of house music. Live electronic acts rarely receive the space they deserve in Boston. It’s a pleasure to present one of our favorites.
Opening the evening, Joe Rizk of Sojourn will set the tone. Joe embodies the love that lives at the center of dance music. It shows in his selections and in the quiet work behind the scenes that makes these gatherings possible. Expect deep chords and hypnotic rhythms. A proper beginning to the night.

Our first party of 2026! We have a lot to celebrate for this one— a new resident and Cutty’s birthday!
Join us in welcoming Rohan to the team. A multi-instrumentalist, lifelong musician and producer, Rohan improvises house music live. Playing the bass, guitar, drum machines and synths, his sets are dynamic and reflect a DJ’s flexibility, able to adapt to the dance floor in front of him. We’ve seem him play with peak time energy in the throes of a storm and with a calming finesse coming down from a rave in the woods. This kind of nuanced flexibility and improvisation within a live set struck a chord with us, we think it’ll resonate with you too!
Kicking the party off, we have Wiersma. Fresh off his label launch this fall and one of our city’s most devoted producers and DJs, we’re excited to hear what he brings for the occasion.
Rohan takes over after, guitar in hand, machines at the ready and some new pedals to debut. Get ready to rock!
Back to the turntables, Zella will have a bag of goodies packed. Psychedelic, silly, twisted, groovy, we’ll see where he goes…
And rounding out the evening, Cutty will bring his signature late night jams. Slinky tech house, tripped out head bobbers, bass-lines that hug you and…frogs?

for me, it was the gig of my life. i’ve struggled to find my voice as an artist for the last decade and this crew has inspired and pushed me to rediscover it 🫶 thank you all so much - better conditions next time 🌪️⚡️🐳

On directly before Hicham we have Rohan! Multi-instrumentalist, lifelong musician and producer, Rohan will play a live house set. Playing the bass, guitar, drum machines and synths, he will improvise a set blending house, breaks and acid with Indian rhythms and textures 🎸🥁🎹
Warming up the party we have Stussman G! As a longtime collector and house music fanatic, he is certainly not short of music to share. Whether you’ve caught him selling records at many of our previous events or know him through shared dance floors, you may have realized he’s got the music sharing bug. He will take us from downtempo chillers to deep, groovy house jams to get the party started 🙂↔️🤸🎶
