Our fantastic weekend in pictures with Hooked on Driving at NJMP Lightning, Sept 20-21, 2025.
We got to shake down a new car to us, a S65 powered E46 M3, equipped with all the goodies. 2900# Carbon widebody, Drenth sequential, KMP pneumatic shifting system, fresh Hoosier R7s (295/335) and a fuel cell full of 100 octane!
Two of our former AER/WRL drivers flew in for the boys weekend to enjoy the festivities. I think they were happy with the casual, unrestricted, potential of the new #42 car. Too much aero? Nah. Too much HP? Psst. Too much grip? Nope. Not enough seat time? Absolutely!
Not to discount the #41 car, it provided a great companion and comparison to the new #42. Beauty and the beast.
Thanks to Hooked on Driving for another great event. These guys are definitely the place to turn some laps, improve some driving skill and just have a very fun atmosphere.
More media to come.

Build your own big brake kit for your E46 M3!
The rotor is from an E9X M3 (360mm x 30).
The 4-piston, Brembo-made caliper is from an Alfa Romeo Stelvio (brake pads as well). Minor modifications required to clearance for rotor.
We make a custom 7075 caliper bracket and custom brake lines.
Total cost for everything about $800 (less, less than $1000).

Sometimes you pick a carā¦sometimes the car picks you.
We never had a green car before, but something about an E46 M3 in Oxford Green is special. Not just because there were only 439 produced worldwide, but perhaps it was an ugly duckling in 2001 in the time of Eddie Bauer Edition Ford Explorers. We had originally worked on this car when the previous owner from CT brought it to us. Typical Rogue Engineering kind of stuffā¦rod bearings and subframe reinforcement. Then it disappeared with its owner like the many other E46 M3s that pass through our humble hallways. Then it appeared in a Facebook ad, looking for a new home.
I had contacted the owner asking about the carā¦seemingly recognizing the name and where it was from, but I couldnāt quite remember. One of the reasons it did not look familiar was that the interior color had been changed to Cinnamon, clearly a better color than the original grey. He had also changed the corner, side and rear lights to amber. Other than that, it had a few more miles, a few new bumps and bruises, but was still solid. After we agreed on a deal (and the owner delivered the car to Rogue), it was time to see where the vehicular journey was going.
Needless to say, many changes to the car was only possible from the many partners we do business with on a regular basis. The confidence we have in these companies makes it easy to recommend to our customers. For this we thank them.
We hope the new owner enjoys OXFD as much as we did. We will miss her, but will not forget her.

How many of you have snapped off the factory gas pedal while driving? Or worse yet, had the top of the pedal fold under itself, pinning it to the floor?
E36 owners! We didnāt forget about you!
No more running to Home Depot for a cabinet hinge and screwing it to the floor, as we have come up with the ultimate solution! Fully CNCād and, over designed and overbuilt, aluminum masterpiece has features the OEM version doesnāt have.
The pedal has an adjustable pedal position to meet your preferences. The included titanium pedal stop also helps with this decision.
Delrin bushings ensure smooth movement for many years to come. Accurate geometry emulation means that the pedal position feels like stock. A precision rod end at the top says no more unwanted flexing.

High speed corners = potential oil starvation. Hereās how we hopefully fixed it.
When youāre pulling high lateral Gs on slicks at Road America (or any track), your engine oil doesnāt stay put. We watched our oil pressure drop in the data, which is not ideal when youāre pushing hard.
Dry-sump? Dream setup. Budget? Reality check.
So we went with what we could control⦠called @dixonmotorsport to install @advancedautofabrication oil pan baffle + SRD oil pump sprocket set. Backed by data from @rogueengineering . Also recommended⦠rod bearings (already done on this car) and youāve got a fighting chance at keeping pressure stable through those high lateral G corners.
The test: Early Midwest season at Road America. Weāll see if our data backs up the new parts. I will then post my current data showing oil pressure drops at high RPMs for comparisons. Stay tuned. #S65 #oil #pressure #baffle
