What fitness I had from BC Bike Race is slowly fading but the memories will last forever. Already thinking ahead to next year. Part 2 of my article series is up on NSMB. Link in my bio. 📷 @davesilverphoto
Blue Thunder. Legendary truck with a great back story, now immortalized on nsmb.com. I'll put the link in my bio. It was fun to take a road trip down memory lane about this beauty of a V8 as well as a few other vehicles I've driven over the years. Thanks for the great photos, @blackbird_works !
Other than the house I grew up in, I lived in the Chesterfield apartment in North Van a lot longer than anywhere else - over 10 years. Vanessa and I have been dreaming and scheming about moving into a bigger place for a few years and finally settled on Sechelt. It was a hell of a process but it went smoothly, all things considered. And now we're settling into life on the Sunshine Coast, a short walk from the trails and the ocean. We are happy. We are fortunate. And we are very relaxed.
In August I took the trip of a lifetime to play golf with my dad, uncle and brother in Scotland. In September I rolled another seven and returned, this time for work, to ride bikes and discover some of the great people and amazing things happening around two wheels in the Tweed Valley. We pedaled, we ate, we got covered in mud, we drank whisky and a lot of coffee. We also talked and learned from each other. And, somewhat surprisingly, I even discovered that golfers have something to learn from mountain bikers, and vice versa. Part 1 of my two-part series is now up on nsmb.com (link in bio). Photos are by @tommyawilkinson , a new friend and impressive human, except #2 here which is from my golfing trip. Part 2 coming at the end of the week.
Happy birthday to this guy @ryanjrobertson ! Many great adventures (mostly planned...at least there was always a plan at the beginning) and many more pending. #tbt to day one of the fresh decade - damn good skiing for an African surfer in his third year facing forward on two planks! HBD, bru.
