Stoop Kid Sessions: Journey of Awakening by Ram Dass #calm #BookTok #lifeadvicetiktok This passage from the beginning of the book reminds me that while jolting our system or reenacting past scenarios that created breaking and transformation is effective, trusting the calm connections of our universal nature is just as powerful. What do you feel?

My essay ON FRIENDSHIP is in the new issue of Fish Barrel Review! 🐸🚤👬 #essay #friendship #seattle #litmag It’s about walking around with my buddies (my favorite activity) and the movie Down By Law by Jim Jarmusch. It was a hard one to write so I’m really proud it’s featured alongside some incredible writing I’m enjoying very much. I appreciate you reading the whole thing and checking out the great work in the journal! Thank you.

Hi! I don’t usually do this on Instagram but wanted to share some personal reflections to start out 2026 🐶 🌹 ✋ At the end of last year, I started thinking about how the past era of my life - since 2020 - had gone & what I wanted out of the next five years. So there have been a lot of changes in motion, lots of emails/messages/paperwork/conversations in many parts of my life. Exciting! But terrifying. Ultimately, it feels like I’ve reached some clarity about who I am in the world and how I can show up with vulnerability and authenticity in my relationships, work, and communities. Balancing energy with rest, remaining mindful and thankful, and communicating with care are my priorities. But feeling happy and thriving. Grateful to everyone who shares this sliver of the world with me! If you ever need anything I’m always here. #2026 #lifeupdate #sharingiscaring✌️

Last week I published my friend Elijah's @aeg_is story on Hobart. I was inspired by @shortflightlongdrive (my boss :P) telling Tyler Dempsey that she wanted her editors to publish their friends in the magazine. When Elijah sent me this story (the roots of a novel) I immediately saw traces of other Hobart editors in it and wanted to share it with them. Thankful for his work and so glad he gave me the chance to read and publish this! Love love. Please go read the whole piece (with the other great stuff my Hobart friends are sharing) on the site. #happy #friendship #hobartpulp #fiction #seattlewriters

Excited to share poetry and photos from my friend @blackangel_070511 on Hobart today! Go check out BROKEN BONES 🦴🌊🌅 #poetry #hobartpulp #seattlepoets Angel's serene meditations on love, loss, and renewal deeply moved me. I hope you enjoy reading his work as much as I did. Ángel Sosa is a poet and visual artist, born in March 1989 in Papantla, Veracruz, Mexico. In unusual circumstances and marked by his early encounters with landscape, movement, and keen observation, his work flows naturally between poetry, photography, video, painting, and dance. He has lived in the United States for the past eight years. His work is characterized by meticulous attention to detail and a profound sensitivity to the natural world: animals, light, gestures, and change are fundamental elements in his art. Through concise imagery and emotional restraint, his poems explore themes such as love, deception, impermanence, and the subtle movements that define both inner and outer life. Puppies by Sam Franzini on Hobart #fiction #hobartpulp #puppies The largest project I’ve published for Elizabeth Ellen’s Hobart went live last week. This release represents months of editorial work and collaboration, including working closely with Sam Franzini, whose discipline and commitment to craft I admire. The feature shares an excerpt from his in-progress novel, which explores young people navigating relationships, forming identity, and learning how to rely on one another. I’m proud of what came together here and grateful to this talented writer for trusting me with his work. Sam Franzini is an editor at The Line of Best Fit and a staff writer at Our Culture Mag and Northern Transmissions. His journalism has been featured in the Los Angeles Review of Books, The Brooklyn Rail, Hobart, Soft Union and NYLON, and his fiction has been published in Maudlin House, After Dinner Conversation and Cosmorama.
