Making this post because I remember how scared I was of potty training — and honestly, I don’t even know where the fear came from. Maybe things I heard, things I saw, or just the pressure around it all. But if there’s another mum out there dreading this phase the way I did, I hope this helps melt some of that fear away 🤍.
I only decided to start potty training because Zane clearly didn’t want to wear diapers anymore. He was always uncomfortable and constantly trying to take them off, so I took it as a sign that he was ready (not that you need a sign).
What I did to prepare:
• Watched lots of YouTube, IG, and TikTok videos
• Bought 2 potty ladders and a travel potty for the car
• Got regular underwear instead of training underwear
What I wish I had done sooner (and eventually did):
• Everything above
• Read a potty training book
The book completely shifted my expectations. Instead of expecting him to be fully potty trained in 3 days, I learned that the goal was simply to teach the basics in 3 days. That mindset change made such a difference for me. It helped me stay patient, keep going, and handle accidents with so much more grace.

After much inner debate and self dragging… I have decided to share this video 😂…

My first wedding since 2023.
Zane didn’t let me fully immerse myself in the experience but it was still so beautiful ☺️ #ILoveLove
A little back story:
I couldn’t find my blade the morning of the wedding, I had to work with my bushy brows. Zane’s outfit also didn’t come until 30mins after we were supposed to leave home… Genesis had to leave early for best man duties only for me to realise I couldn’t wear my dress myself😂. In the midst of this chaos, Zane won’t let me drop him or take oxygen without him on my hip🤧. Las las, I survived and still managed to turn my husband’s head😌 #AWinIsaWin #twowinninghearts
