Eager to meet the needs of their shifting demographic, Panasonic called on us to connect key consumer insights and craft a new appliance design language specifically for China. The new approach blended two factors: ‘harmony’ and ‘delight. Together, these elements neatly bound both European and New-Age Asian belief systems.
Working from home has become the norm, and office workplaces are trying to blur the boundary with a space that feels like a home from home.
Yet, despite the renewed focus on home offices in recent years, the computer monitor market has barely moved forward. Inspired by this, we considered whether a more domestic design language and material palette could create a new language of tech for the home.

Ode was designed to stimulate the appetite in people with dementia and rekindle their love of food, bringing dignity back to their mealtimes.
Our success in the @DesignCouncil ‘Living Well with Dementia’ Design Challenge showed us the power of inclusive, user-centric design in making a difference in people's lives. We learned the value of empathy and deep user research, which we now apply to all our projects.
