Our Rodakis Standard T-shirts are made entirely in Switzerland with pure combed and ring spun bioRe® cotton yarns, living up to the most demanding social and ecological standards worldwide. There’s little to improve on the look of a T-shirt, but almost everything on its production. The bioRe Gossypium Arboreum cotton we use is fully traceable along the entire value chain and was already cultivated by the Indus Valley Civilisation around 2’600 BCE. It’s exclusively licensed to our Swiss yarn manufacturer and grown around the Yawal Wildlife Sanctuary by family run farms (no plantations) which receive a unique purchase guarantee for their output, enabling conversion to organic farming and financial planning while ensuring the livelihood of the involved. Farmers and buyer form a true co-operation with regular exchange amongst the villages and educational programs for both themselves and others, resulting in better working conditions for all involved and a substantially higher return for their work. #academierodakis #rodakis

Stonborough-Wittgenstein House, Paul Engelmann & Ludwig Wittgenstein, Vienna 1926 It is well documented that Wittgenstein spent a year designing each of the radiators (which, unusually, fold around the corners) as they had to be exactly positioned to maintain the symmetry of the rooms. At the last minute, so as to maintain the original proportions of the house (3:1, 3:2, 2:1), Wittgenstein insisted on having the living room ceiling taken out and raised by 30 millimeters. “You probably imagine that philosophy is complicated enough, but let me tell you, this is nothing compared to the hardship of being a good architect. Back when I was building the house for my sister in Vienna I was so exhausted at the end of the day that the only thing I was still able to do was to go every evening to the cinema. ” – Ludwig Wittgenstein Fig.1 Radiator Fig.2 internal staircase Fig.3 door handles that took a year to design Fig.4 facade #wittgenstein #modernism #architecture
