Nikki - “Hey Jay, I just wanted to say yesterday’s class was so good for me. Your instruction allowed me to unlock several moves that have been frustrating me for a while. You made me realize that I can learn these moves that I see other skaters doing I just need an instructor that understands how I learn as my mind works much differently than the average skater.
As soon as you said the barrel role was like the downtown then showed the foot placement I was barrel rolling.
As soon as you demonstrated the correct way to pivot I was pivoting on my toes and heels.
As soon as you showed the skaters who fully extend their legs when trying to learn manuals then you showed the correct posture I was doing manuals.
Guess what I’ll be doing every chance I get today…practicing what you were demonstrating in class last night.
These classes are good for me even though I don’t intend on being an instructor as when your teaching us how to teach other people you’re actually teaching me what I need to practice to improve my own skate so thank you 🙏🏽!”
