Building a home starts with questions. In this project, the Dan and Mandi Sinner took time to research what goes inside their walls. They wanted materials that help support fire resilience, acoustic comfort, and long-term performance. After comparing options, they specifically asked for ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation. An informed choice starts with understanding what you’re building with.

It almost hurts to cover this up. @rockwoolna R23 batts @ 24" o.c. in the stud cavities. Two layers of R24 in the rafter cavities with R16.6 over the top.

One week to go. Designing data centers means balancing competing demands: safety, reliability, performance, and the comfort of those inside and in surrounding communities. Join us May 20 for a ROCKonnect Masterclass with experts from ROCKWOOL, Rockfon, and ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation as we break down how stone wool solutions support fire resilience, acoustics, and long-term performance across every layer. If you’re working on mission-critical spaces, this session is for you. Save your spot + earn 1.0 AIA LU | HSW. Link in bio.

Spring allergy season is hard enough. Your home shouldn’t make it worse. A homeowner opens their attic during a renovation and discovers years of moisture buildup and deteriorating insulation. Dust, allergens, and poor air quality have been circulating through the house. Upgrading the attic insulation helps improve thermal performance and support healthier indoor conditions. Stone wool insulation is moisture repellent and does not support mold growth, helping assemblies stay durable over time. Because the place you live should support your health, not compromise it. If it’s worth building, it’s worth building with ROCKWOOL.

Sound shapes how we experience our homes more than we realize. Everyday noise influences how we rest, focus, and recharge. Thoughtful acoustic design helps create calmer, more comfortable living spaces by reducing sound transfer throughout the home. On June 4 at 4 p.m. ET/ 1 p.m. PT, join co-hosts Randy Williams, Travis Brungardt, and Joe Cook for a roundtable conversation on the emotional connection to acoustics and why sound matters in daily life at home. Guest builder Steven Kasay of Kasay Construction will share real-world perspective from his projects in the South. Listen in and be part of the conversation. Register at the link in bio.

Tower of Rock! 20’ tall, 90” wide. Not bad @rockwoolna ! For your next trick, let’s make some 4x8 comfortbatt!! Wouldn’t that be awesome? Let me know (rockwool know) if a large scale batt would be preferred for anyone. Maybe a 4x4 even. #

Mineral wool has so many positives to using it as your insulation choice. Anytime I can convince a client to go with @rockwoolna I will! Feel free to drop one negative to using this insulation over another. I’d love to hear why someone wouldn’t want to use it. This is an extremely dense batt with excellent friction fit capabilities and therefore works great in our tall walls without any concern of sagging over time.

In January 2025, the Eaton Fire destroyed the Curran family’s home in Altadena, California. They were in the middle of renovating what they hoped would be their forever home when the wildfire moved through their community. When the smoke cleared, nearly everything was gone. One of the few things left behind was the ROCKWOOL stone wool insulation they had planned to install—still intact in the driveway. As wildfires become more frequent and intense, their story is a reminder of why designing homes with fire-resilient materials matters. The Curran family’s experience is one we won’t forget.

Unwanted noise isn’t just annoying, it can affect how we focus, feel, and connect 🔊🧠 When @centerarchdesignsf moved to street level in the iconic Hallidie Building, the goal was more than a visual refresh. Working with @aidlindarlingdesign and supported by @rockwoolna , the redesign brings acoustics into the experience, shaping a space for conversation, learning, and reflection. ✨🤫 #ROCKWOOL #ROCKWOOLCaseStudies #SanFransisco #AcousticDesign #HumanCenteredDesign #IfItsWorthBuilding

Mission critical by design. Data centers don’t get second chances. Every layer of the building has to perform—no gaps, no weak points, no compromises. Join us May 20 for the next ROCKonnect Masterclass, where experts from ROCKWOOL, Rockfon, and ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation come together to explore how stone wool solutions support fire resilience, thermal stability, acoustic control, and long-term durability across these high-demand spaces. You’ll hear from Antoine Habellion, Jon Ram, and Nathan Longwell as they break down how to design for continuous performance—from enclosure to interiors to mechanical systems. If you're designing or building mission-critical facilities, this session is built for you. Save your seat and earn 1.0 AIA LU | HSW. Visit the link in bio.
