PILOT 📽️ Woohaa, it’s the first week of 2026 and here we go again; a new release by John Dwyer, the prolific frontman of Thee Oh Sees, Osees (@osees_merch @oseesarchive ). That man is unstoppable 😳😂 It’s a soundtrack accompanying the stop motion animation ‘PILOT’. Dwyer made it at Stu Stu Studio in four or so years (2020 - 2025) using paper and paper puppets. He made the soundtrack too and the project kept him sane during especially the pandemic. Man, what an output. Respect! The sense of unease and horror atmospherics makes this OST an uncomfortable listen. After the 70s proto metal opener ‘Progs Legs’ gnarly synths, loops and clicky processed rhythms are introduced. Weird stuff, folks! Strange and sci-fi. 👽 But like all things Dwyer did, it’s very intriguing. Well that’s what I think, but I am biased (as you all know) when it comes to Dwyer/Osees related output 😉. Released on @rockishell on clear-red vinyl. 500 copies only. The artwork are stills from the film. Preordered it last year in October. It’s 40 minutes (as opposed to the shortened edited versions in the film). This took FOREVER to make and kept me from losing my goddamn mind. So, I really hope you enjoy it . John Dwyer, Psych-Punk-Psycho Warrior, Ohrwurm-Erfinder und Besitzer vieler gestempelter Pässe, lässt nicht locker.
