Emily Zisman & The Citizen’s Band, March 15th 2019 at @thewaystation in Brooklyn, NY. While Emily and I have been friends for close to 2 decades, this was (somehow) the first time we shared a stage together. She flew in from Oakland for a spell, and my brother in music Evan Caverninha and I jumped at the idea that we prepare remotely for a show as Emily’s backing band. Since Evan and I have played together for years in @mnop_music and @nightzoomusic we have had plenty of time to toss around “what if?” ideas, and saw this as a perfect opportunity to bring to life Evan’s vision of “The Citizen’s Band” - a team of musicians that back up incredible singer-songwriters.
