This is a really cosy wine bar in Fairfield @rocketwinestore 🍇
They have a list of great wines by the glass and a perfect warm ambience for a wine bar.
The service is friendly and not snobby too.
I tried the fresh orange Riesling wine by @rongo_wines . It’s savoury and has notes and aromas of citrus and ginger 🍊
The Somerset Vineyard Semillon from Hunter Valley by @vindenwines . Some minerality with flavours of lime zest and green apple. Dry and crisp 🍋🟩
and the Chablis Reserve Chardonnay by @laroche_wines in France.
Notes of pear, white peach and citrus as well as some slaty mineral aromas 🍐

Here is an instructive video where Flynn and Eric batch and prepare the Strawberry Negroni #3 without explaining any of the ingredients or process!
The strawb Negroni has cardamom infused gin, chinati americano vermouth, and campari (ol' faithful). We then soak a couple kg's of strawberries in it for a few hours, strain them off, and filter the batch!
Ready to go, young Eric can just pour and stir that bad boy and serve! We like to make it easy for him, because it is only his second day at rocket wine.

We're adding @melbournesake to our menu (along with some other nummy sherry and fortified wine options). If you enjoy clean, crisp, dry wine, this could be your signal to drop the riesling and try some local sake for a change.
Typically, sake is made from rice that's had 30% or more of its husk removed prior to brewing, but this offering from Melbourne Sake has only 10% removed, and develops a more robust, full flavour that we think holds its own alongside table wines.
