One of my favorite moments from the last @galaxytwinsmusic Venice Beach boardwalk day — and to be honest my favorite project to date. I’ve always had a vision of being in a band like this: bringing together the best elements of rock and electronic music, fusing them into something original.
That being said — the whole improv/jam thing came completely outta left field.
I never saw myself being in a “jam band” — I’ve never been a fan of any jam band in particular and generally dislike the genre as a whole (I can *maybe* name a few Grateful Dead songs 😅) — but after playing with @iianjjoseph & @jonathanburx for the first time (and especially after recording our 1st album) I felt what people feel from jam/improv bands. The eternal chase for that perfect, fleeting moment. And the bliss when you’re able to capture it.
Every time I play with Galaxy Twins (including our extended improv family, who have made us grow in so many ways) I feel like I’ve evolved. It’s a live snapshot of my growth as a musician and I couldn’t be more honored to share that with y’all. Thank you 🙏

Had a blast trying out the fantastic @zutagroup pedals on my Novation Bass Station! While it excels at bass tones (duh 😜) I’ve always had a problem with higher octave lead tones sounding too weak/8-bit Nintendo — I think these pedals have solved that!

Bucket List Moment — being able to say I’ve worked with a Beatle. I never film shows (and especially while working) but this one was special.
Next to @ringostarrmusic is Toto lead singer/guitarist @stevelukatherofficial (who brought me in for a hug after the show, thanked me for my work), and @stprobertdeleo (got to chat for a sec with him too, thanked him for all he’s done for modern rock)
This show was also special because I finally feel like I’m 100% “part of the crew” over at SAS/The Orpheum Theatre.
And apologies to any of my team leads watching this — that first Ringo clip was unscripted, he just bolted on & offstage for the closer 😅 (you can hear my spotlight buddy Frank laughing because I didn’t quite ‘catch’ Ringo at the end. I blame the lighting director for not cueing me 😝)
All said & done — thanks to everyone that’s with me on this wild journey. I don’t know how far I will go — but I’m here for the ride regardless 😎
