My Time in Malaysia š²š¾
I first heard about @rentap_muaythai through Milton Muay Thai and the Bahsous family. They warned me about the trainingā¦ but you donāt really get it until you live it.
I had 2 weeks to prepare for @rentap.fc and it was intense!!
12km runs in the morning and evening, sprints, then 2-hour sessions full of pads, clinch, and conditioning. Weād finish with 500 kicks and 500 skip knees. Every day we prayed for rain so we didnāt have to run š
The trainer would just smile and say, ātoday you DIE.ā
That camp pushed me differently, and a lot of what I learned there still shows up in how I coach today.
Fight day was a full experience. I got to corner earlier in the day, then stepped in with a tough southpaw from Kuala Lumpur. I broke him down over 3 rounds and got the decision win. Honestly, I wish it was 5 because I could feel the finish coming š„
After the fight, I spent a few days in Kuching and made a decisionā¦ I was done fighting. They even offered me a fight at Lumpinee Stadium, but I felt at peace stepping away.
Funny enough, not long after, I got the chance to fight at Rajadamnern Stadium, a dream I couldnāt pass up.
Iāve stayed close with the Rentap team, watched Jojo fight at ONE Championship, and now thereās talk of bringing my fighters out to Malaysia to compete.
Grateful for the experiences and even more excited to create opportunities for the next generation š²š¾
